Greetings to all at NCAKE! I am pleased to be rejoining the board after a long hiatus.
John Eros is the interim chair of the Department of Music at California State University, East Bay (Hayward), where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in music education and oversees the music credential program.
One of NCAKE’s newest board members, Julie Haydon is the director of Cantare Children’s Choirs in Oakland.

Hello fellow Kodaly Educators! My name is Angela Borba and I am excited to be serving as your new NCAKE secretary. I take excellent “notes”…musical puns are always intended with me.
My passion to become an educator began in high school when I realized that many schools in San Francisco lacked quality music education. I started a journey that led me to dedicate my career to fostering a love for music and music literacy.
A newly appointed member of the NCAKE Board, composer and Oakland resident Michael Kaulkin is currently on the musicianship faculties of both the San Francisco Conservatory’s Prep Division and Berkeley’s Crowden School, and served on the Kodály Summer Institute faculty at Holy Names last summer.
